LC connectors are used in LAN, WAN and FTTD networks, on railroads, in telecommunication networks, in cable TV networks and in measurement technology. The APC connector has a polished ferrule face at an angle of 8 degrees, so that the phenomenon of reflectance, which occurs when light passes through the border of media, has much less influence on the attenuation of the connector.
