The basic parameters can be found on the label located on the bottom of the device marked as INPUT or on the nameplate of the original power supply described as OUTPUT. These will be: POWER (W), VOLTAGE (V), CURRENT (A).
The following points will dispel any doubts that may arise when choosing equipment:
1. POWER (W) – this number represents the minimum value that the new power supply should have. There is nothing to prevent you from using a product with higher power. This will reduce the load on the power supply, and therefore it will generate less heat.
2. INTENSITY (A) – as in the case of POWER, the value on the new power supply may be equal to or higher than that specified on the rating label.
3. VOLTAGE (V) – the number for this parameter is more strictly required. Only a fluctuation of +/- 0.5V is permitted.
The last and equally important issue is the PLUG, which must be identical to the original. The size given refers to the outer diameter and the inner diameter of the pin. If a comparison based on the photo provided is not sufficient, an accurate measurement will be necessary to ultimately confirm your choice.
